Notifications & home screen
The network uses web push and installable home-screen shortcuts — designed for volunteers who will not install a dedicated app.
Turn on notifications
On /join/bop or a local hub, tap Get notified. Allow browser notifications when prompted. Regional subscribers hear about new Bay-wide listings; hub subscribers hear about that organisation.
Add to home screen
On iPhone use Safari Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android use Chrome menu → Add to Home screen. Opens volunteer opportunities like an app.
Roster SMS
Project coordinators can still copy a text message for roster days — useful for members not on push yet.

- Spam?
- Alerts fire on new publishes — typically infrequent community updates.
- Personal data?
- Push subscriptions store endpoint keys only — not your sign-up profile.
